Sprouting....

As a child, we didn't live in the city so the only kind of garden that I ever knew was a few tomato plants in the back yard. When I met Brandon, I was fascinated by the huge garden that his mom and dad have in their backyard. I am so proud that Drew and Sam will have the opportunity to plant a garden with Brandon. This garden will teach them to take care of things - they will see the fruits of their labor by watching their garden that they work so hard in to grow!

Brandon is such a good man. It takes a lot of patience to plant a garden with a three year old boy who wants to "haelp" with EVERYTHING. I love watching those two together. Brandon explains everything that he's doing step by step.

We went to tractor supply to buy bird feeders. This is our hummingbird feeder. Sometimes the squirrels get confused - they are constantly trying to tip it over but I would imagine that they aren't looking for that liquid.

This is our pear tree. It is really starting to flourish. Once again, I didn't grow up around anything like this so I feel so lucky to be able to watch these things grow. My boys love pears and we can't wait for them to get big and ripe!

Stay tuned! Our garden will continue to grow! I've already had several orders for tomatoes!

  1. This makes me so jealous. It's something I've always wanted and I can remember coming over to your house and eating out that that garden. It was some of the best veggies I've ever had!

  2. I'm so excited about your pears! We planted a bunch of fruit trees when we moved into our house, and we have yet to see any decent fruit. In fact, our garden has been a little iffy since we had Abigail. Hopefully this year will be better!
