Watch our Garden Grow!

Each year, Brandon plants a garden. Between two boys and running his own business my sweet husband got off to a very late start. I actually thought that he wouldn't make it this year. Once again, I was wrong. Who am I to question this man.

Yesterday while I had my camera a a baby shower, Eric came down and tilled the garden for Brandon with his tractor! Normally it would take a couple of hours to till the garden with a manual tiller - it only took Eric ten minutes tops!

I'm sorry to say that I don't have a before picture for you - like I said, I was busy taking photos at a baby shower yesterday. I do however, have after photos! All of those weed looking thingys are asparagus... It is no longer edible - it starts to sprout in March. Once we have the first frost Brandon will chop it down so that it will come back for us next year!

Random Thoughts....

At the moment, I am fairly sure that I have lost the ability to concentrate on more than one thing at a time. My thoughts are sporadic and terribly random... In other words - Brace yourself!!!
These are my feet... Beautiful right? Not really but I did paint my toenails yesterday. I lack in this area the same way that I do with cleaning my home... My motivation to paint my toenails does not exist. I took this photo to remind me when they begin to chip in a week that I DID indeed paint my toenails.

Here's what I am doing right now... Who needs a Sunday newspaper when you follow about 400 blogs? How in the world do these women have time to blog the way that they do? I'm not judging.. Just jealous!

Brandon is holding Samuel and Drew is in the highchair. Drew is WAYYYYYY too big for his highchair but he still sits there.
Drew is now in timeout for calling Brandon a "jerk".... Where does he hear these things? Just the other day, he called me a "honky". No more cartoon network. Its the devil.

ebony and ivory....

Yesterday, a group of us from work went to Chilli's for lunch and I had someone from across the table snap this pic for me. Sherri is my bestie, my bff and someone who I consider to be as close to me as a sister. We laughed and joked that Sherri was "ebony" and that I was "ivory".... As you can see, our skin tones are just a "little" different.
All week, I told Sherri that she should bring her lipstick to work because I was bringing my camera and her mug would go on my blog.... Here she is! Love you Sherri!

Whatever Wednesday....

Today, I will show you how I attempt to bottle time... with my camera anyway.
Both of these boys have me wrapped around their little fingers so tight that some days I can barely make it up for air.
Over the past several months, I have fallen head over heels with my camera. I love taking pictures of these two. Now by no means am I a professional and will probably never be that good but I have found that there is something very therapeutic about photographing my children. My days at work are sometimes very long and stressful. It is so nice to come home and photograph my two most prized accomplishments - my boys. No matter how down I may be - these two keep me going.
These images are something that I will cherish forever. Each day these two change and I feel so blessed to have the ability to document their lives with my. Day by day, I look at them through my lens and I am reminded of how precious they are. These are moments that we won't get a second chance at!

Interesting....I cannot sleep. Drew is coughing his head off..... Mr. Sandman bring me some zsssss.

Our Evenings....

With the nice weather setting in, Brandon and I have started hanging out with Drew on the back porch after Samuel turns in for the evening at 7pm. On a normal evening we eat popsicles and shoot the water gun until Drew's fingers can no longer handle the trigger! Tonight we played basketball and walked around the yard.

This is me with my baby in all of my beautiful glory... Just kidding. Brandon only takes pictures of me when I look like a big bowl of Purina. Its really fine with me - I love my boy and I actually kinda like this photo.

Of course, I had to take pictures. I love these of Drew and Brandon. They have such a special relationship. Watching those two together melts my heart every time! My husband is such a wonderful father. My son is such a wonderful son.

I am able to blog via blackberry....sweet jesus!

My third blog...

Some would say that the third time's a charm. In other words, this is my third attempt at creating and maintaining a blog about my family. My life is nuts - or maybe its not my life its just me - I have two precious boys, two high maintenance dogs and a sweet hardworking husband who loves us all.

Here is a picture of me with my babies. This photo was taken on Mother's Day - my husband wasn't in it because he took the photo.

Just in case you care; We love the outdoors, thrift stores, yard sales, photography and small country towns. Something that I feel obligated to confess to you is that we totally fall in the category of terrible housekeepers. One of my favorite shows is Clean House and I swear if we lived in California - we would qualify for that show... That part of our life is a constant work in progress - at the end of the day - I could care less about what others think of my housekeeping skills... I work a full time job and my evenings are for my kiddos - even if the house is dirty.

That's Brandon... Did I mention that he loves us? He really loves his boys. He also really loves to hunt and fish - its a rarity to see a photo of him without something dead. Brandon also likes to cut the grass...

Thanks for reading about my crazy but incredibly cool family.
