Yes... We're still here!

As a family, we have had such a fun filled summer! To be honest, I haven't had much time to blog but I am so thankful for my camera! My kids are growing faster than I care to accept.

Here are some photo "highlights" of our summer thus far.

Grandma and Samuel at the Bat's game. Sam was passed around for most of the game. He really didn't like sitting in one place.

Here's papaw and Drew at the pool. That was such a fun day! Sam came home with his first shiner but other than that - we made so many memories!

I cannot get a good pic of my boys and I to save my life. No one ever wants to look at the camera. Now don't get me wrong, I am all about the "candid" shots but I really would like at least one where both of my sons look like they are happy!

This ones not too bad... Sammy's shiner is starting to go away! I had a death grip on him. Notice how our cheeks are squeezed together.

Drew likes me here... Really, he just wanted to go swimming.

This is a rarity. Sam and Preston usually act as if the other doesn't even exist. Its not that they don't like each other - they just merely don't acknowledge one another. I was so happy to see the two of them sharing a chair.

Wait... We weren't looking at each other...

Now these two - peas and carrots. They love each other so much. Drew sometimes calls Lizzie his "sister". She mothers him and he takes advantage of all of the attention.

I'm so glad that they have each other. They are truly best friends.

Lastly, Brandon and my baby.
Even though its not over yet - we have made so many wonderful memories this summer. It has been so hot that we are all welcoming fall with open arms.

Things will start to slow down so hopefully, I will be able to blog on a regular basis!
Thanks for reading!

Houston... We Have a Problem... Potentially.

For Christmas this year, my boys were so lucky to receive a whole McDonald's set... Drive Thru headset and all... I really hope that this is not Sam's life goal - to become a McDonald's drive thru worker...

Notice that he has the headset on backwards...

*note - nothing against those who work for McDonalds... Sam's own mother ran a drive thru at Kentucky Fried Chicken for six years... Yes - six years.

Homeboy's Crazy

Check out Drew in his throwback "Rays Jewelers" jersey... That thing belonged to Brandon when he was a kid and it is Drew's most prized possession when it comes to his wardrobe anyway.

He wears that number "6" with such pride... He's a true badass! Check him out!
Mother's lock up your daughters... The toothless legend is on the prowl.

Sammy's First Haircut

Oh my those curls are gone.... Lord help me... My children are growing way to fast!

So its been a while!!!

Why are boys so hard to photograph??? They both looked precious on Easter this year but I could not get a decent shot of Drew to save my life.

This is about as good as it gets... He wouldn't even sit on my lap for a picture. I really wanted to show how cute their outfits were!

I did manage to get one good one of Samuel... As you can see, he doesn't care!

Sledding...

Drew sure did have fun yesterday! We took Sam to my parents so that we could really concentrate on Drew having a good time. There was snow, hot chocolate, chili, chesse dip and plenty of laughter. Drew went down the hill with Austin most of the time.

Austin, as always is so patient with Drew. He always lets Drew have the front of the sled and I really don't think he went down one time without Drew.  It was really fun to watch - normally I'm pretty protective but Austin is very mature for his age and I know that he will make sure (to the best of his ability) that Drew won't get hurt.

Here they are heading down the hill! Drew was steering - if that's even possible.

Back up the hill... This photo is a trick. It really looks like Drew is coming up by himself.

Austin graciously pulled all 30lbs of him up the hill EVERY single time.

Snow Day!!!

Now that I am an adult -the idea of snow doesn't really excite me all that much. Probably because I live 40 miles from where I work and it makes it impossible to get there... I'm not one of these people who risk my life to make it to work. When I didn't have kids it was a much different story - so maybe I should rephrase... I'm not going to risk their LIVES so that I can go to work.

Drew waited all day for Brandon to get home so that he could throw snowballs and make a snowman! The snow was pretty powedery so it was hard for Drew them to make snowballs let alone a snowman...

There wasn't much "still" time and it was really hard to snap a photo of both of them together... This is all I got.

Well, I did get this really cute one of him watching for his dad to come back out... It really wouldn't be bad if he didn't have snot running everywhere!

That's just how it is with little boys. Snot, snot and more snot... It rules the world - you could shoot a Mucinex commercial around both of my kids.

Happy Birthday Lizzie!!!!

Lizzie turned 4 yesterday and I can't believe it. I remember the day that she was born - I was pregnant with Drew, and I can remember holding onto my belly in the truck as we drove to the hospital to meet her. As excited as I was that she was coming - I couldn't help but get nervous about April (when my baby was due). When I finally got to hold her, I could feel Drew jumping around in my belly - it was like he was introducing himself to her.

That bond between Drew and Lizzie is still very strong. They love eachother so much - she is constantly "mothering" and he graciously allows her to.

Happy Birthday Lizzie!! We love you:)

My Questionable parenting....

After seeing this photo of Samuel at 6pm on Christmas Day --- you are right to question my parenting. My boy is a klutz. I didn't think that it could get worse than Drew but here it is for the world to see.
The left cheek is the result of him falling into a pole on Christmas Eve and the "road rash" looking marks on the other side of his face are from where he fell into the wall and his grandparents house on Christmas Morning.
And yes, just like his big brother - he has boogers in his nose. That's just how we roll around here. There aren't enough tissues in this world --- I have surrendered to the snotty nose.

My 100th Post!!! Saved for a VERY SPECIAL COUPLE!

Brandon's uncle Robert and aunt Emma celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on December 27th, 2009.

How cool is it that this event fell on my 100th Post! Happy Anniversary Robert and Emma!!

Christmas Morning...

Oh wow... What a great morning we had! Drew got his "Bumblebee Mask" and that's all he cared about! I'm so glad that we didn't go crazy with presents this year!! My boys were more than satisfied with the wonderful gifts that Santa dropped under our tree this year.

Here's Samuel running around with his "dump truck"... He doesn't quite get the whole "Santa" thing but he sure did play along very well! He didn't even care about taking that truck out of the box!

My three boys... Our hearts all beat to the same tune. I love them so much and watching the love on their faces this Christmas was such a joy for me! I don't think its even possible to become immune to little boys with "bed hair" and character underwear running around a Christmas tree in excitement!!!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Happy New Year friends!

Christmas Eve at the Jacobi's...

Drew and Lizzie waited patiently in Grandma's lap for Santa to arrive. All of the kids were wide eyed with excitement!

Double trouble went to Santa for their M&M's... Why is my boy so short?? Lizzie only has five months on him!

Ike and Sam...

Look at these two Jokers! This picture was taken last year at their first "Withrow Christmas Eve". Obviously, they are both teething and chewing their fingers like crazy boys. They were supposed to be 4 weeks apart but since Ike's mom went 2 weeks late and I went almost 3 weeks early, they ended up only being born one week apart!

Here they are this year... Look at that gut on my kiddo. He outgrew his Christmas outfit this year but I squeezed it on him anyway. They still aren't real interested in each other - maybe next year! I hope Janet keeps that chair forever.... its a good way to measure how much they've grown!!!
I wonder if we'll be able to get them into that chair when their sixteen!!!
